Dear C4SS Supporters,

Over the last two-week period, I submitted 17,053 Center op-eds to 2,764 publications worldwide. Our content production remains back up in the range it needs to be in, but we seem to still be suffering from “election cycle hangover” on pickups. I’ve found only two:

• On October 29, Antiwar.com published my piece “War, Children: It’s Just a Welfare Check Away.”
• On November 6, the Deming, New Mexico Headlight published my “Cue the Permanent Campaign.”

I don’t think it’s an accident that both pickups were topical to the US presidential election. And I expect that we will see increased pickups over the remainder of 2012 as election fever washes out of the media’s system.
