Dear C4SS Supporters,
This week I was able to get C4SS op-ed submissions back up: 10,067 submissions to 2,763 publications worldwide. Only four op-eds, but three of them were submittable worldwide instead of being wholly US-centered (I prefer at least a 50-50 balance, the more global the better, and we’re getting back to that).
So far I’ve detected four pickups for the week:
- While Alex Jones’s Infowars isn’t “mainstream media” per se — and would probably reject the label if applied — it’s one of the most popular sites on the Internet (1,735th most popular worldwide and 513th most popular in the US according to Alexa), so of course we’re very happy that they published Kevin Carson’s “The Normalization of Dystopia” on April 23.
- On April 24, my own “The Real Summit of the Americas Scandal” ran in the Baltic Review, which circulates in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Germany.
- Same piece, different day, different paper: The Cayman Islands Net News on April 26. They’ve run our material before and we’re ecstatic to see them doing so again.
- And last but not least, dateline April 28: Kevin Carson’s “The Anonymous Hydra Grows Another Head” appears in Taiwan’s China Post (circulation 400,000+, and an email from the editor seems to indicate it will run in the print edition!) as “A new hactivist group emerges in the wake of March LulzSec arrests.”
So, four pickups, of three market anarchist pieces, in six countries, on three continents. Better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick, as they say! Have a great weekend, and support the Center!
Yours in liberty,
