Dear C4SS Supporters,
Well, some weeks you strike a big vein of gold, and some weeks you grind along slowly, grateful for a few flakes or maybe a small nugget. This was one of the latter weeks, and I’m grateful to the four publications, in three countries on two continents, that ran C4SS op-eds, putting us across the line for more than 300 “mainstream media pickups” in the last 13 months:
- David D’Amato appeared in two publications: The Canadian published his “China: The People’s Republic or the Elite’s Republic?” on July 10; and the Dhaka, Bangadesh New Age ran “Message to Syria: All Rule is Foreign Rule” today.
- Kevin Carson also scored two “pickups” — “Empire of the Rising Scum” in the July 14 edition of the St. Joseph, Missouri Telegraph, and “Put Not Your Faith in Princes — Even Liberal Ones” (re-titled “Support for copyright belies Democrat anti-corporate claims”) in the July 14 edition of the University of Iowa Daily Iowan.
This week I’ve submitted 10,209 Center op-eds to 2,804 publications on six continents. My guess is that we’ll see a spike back upward in “pickups” for next week.
Some upcoming changes at the Center:
David D’Amato will be moving on to big things (marriage, law practice, etc.), leaving no time for writing C4SS op-eds, effective August 1st. We’re hoping (and I’m betting!) that he won’t be able to stay away for long. Thanks so much for your work on behalf of the Center and the market anarchist idea, David!
Rocco Stanzione has joined the Center as a volunteer proofreader/editor, helping us to improve the quality of the Center’s output (and lifting a bit of that burden from Brad Spangler’s shoulders and my own). Welcome aboard, Rocco!
Have a great weekend, everyone!
Yours in liberty,
