Dear C4SS Supporters,
A nice week for media here at the center — eight “pickups,” including several in publications we hadn’t heard from in awhile:
- “Their System is Breaking,” by David D’Amato, appeared in the Baltic Review on July 24.
- Darian Worden’s “South Sudan and the Sovereignty of the Individual” ran in the Dhaka, Bangladesh New Nation on July 25, as did Kevin Carson’s “High-Tech Swadeshi” (as “Staying away from economic colonisation”).
- The Snohomish, Washington Times published David D’Amato’s “More Government Does Not Mean ‘Independence” on July 25.
- My own “Why We Fight” appeared in Counterpunch on July 28 (as “Information Wars”), and runs in the Dhaka, Bangladesh New Age on July 30.
- The New Age also ran Kevin Carson’s “‘Property Rights Arent’ Just for the Rich” on July 28.
- Carson’s “Obama: The Best ‘Enemy’ Money Can Buy” appeared in the Carroll County, Maryland Standard on July 28.
In the spirit of experimentation — I think maybe all the newspapers inclined to “unsubscribe” from our media lists may have already done so at this point — I upped the tempo of submissions this week, sending 12,817 Center op-eds to 2,802 publications. No slew of new “stop sending us stuff!” emails yet, and I’m hoping it translates into more pickups to report next week.
Side note: I’m flattered that the Center’s director, Brad Spangler, co-opted “Why We Fight” as a tie-in for Anonymous’s upcoming Operation Onslaught, commencing tomorrow evening (expect us!) …
This week’s pseudo-random reciprocal blogospheric link love: Simon Goldie, Real News Reporter and Poli-Tea.
Have a great weekend!
Yours in liberty,
Tom Knapp
