Kevin, It definitely feels a bit like a &#039;caring&#039; Ingsoc party of some sort. Although I thank goodness that the political classes here are far too incompetent and  bungling to pull anything off like Ingsoc for too long. ]]></description>

You&#039;re probably right about state policy not reflecting conscious, coordinated venality in most cases.  An invisible hand mechanism is sufficient to explain it. ]]></description>
